Lindsey’s magazine career began with Hot Springs On the Go! Magazine, first as a staff writer, then associate editor, in 2015 before HER was born in 2016. She graduated from Magnet Cove High School in 2006 and studied at National Park College in Hot Springs. In addition to her work with the magazine, she is also the Arts and Entertainment reporter for The Sentinel-Record newspaper.
A lifelong Chicago Bears fan, Lindsey was born in Illinois and grew up in Arkansas. She said her love for writing began at a young age. “My mom has a scrapbook full of stories, complete with illustrations, that I wrote as a child. One of the ones I remember was about an alien who traveled through space, making friends along the way,” she said. “I had quite the imagination.”
Growing up, she said her mom always encouraged her to be a writer but she never thought she’d have that opportunity until she was offered the position as staff writer for Hot Springs On the Go! Magazine.
“You hear people talk all the time about their ‘dream job’ as if it’s this unattainable thing. I never knew my dream job was being a journalist until I became one,” Lindsey said. “Now, I can’t see myself doing anything else.”
Her favorite part of the job? Meeting the awe-inspiring women of Hot Springs and telling their stories.
In her free time, Lindsey said she loves nothing more than to spend time with her loved ones. Her hobbies include cooking, hiking, traveling, reading, and binge-watching her favorite shows on Netflix.
