Brittany joined the HER Hot Springs team in June 2017 as one of the three associate design editors. In addition to her work with HER, she does pagination and is a page designer for The Sentinel-Record newspaper, which she has been doing since December 2016.
She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Art and Design from Henderson State University.
“I’d always been interested in design. I took drafting and architecture classes in high school and always loved art, but I started out my education wanting to be an elementary school teacher. My mom has been a teacher for years and I’d always visit her in her classroom and thought that was what I wanted to do. I joined an organization on campus during my second semester of freshman year and one of my sisters convinced me to take a few art classes. I was hooked after that,” Brittany said.
She said her favorite part of working with HER Magazine is getting to help illustrate through design the wonderful work the women in our community do.
When she isn’t working, Brittany enjoys watching crime shows, drawing in her sketchbook, hanging out with her soon-to-be husband, and attending opening night showings of all of the Marvel movie releases.
